SHAH ALAM: A total of 82% of higher educational institutions (IPT) students have been fully vaccinated while university staff who have received both doses now exceeds 91%.
This was revealed by deputy higher education minister Ahmad Masrizal Muhammad who said he was confident that IPTs were now safe and recommended students who have not been vaccinated to do so immediately.
“If they have not been vaccinated, it is not because these IPT students did not apply (to be vaccinated), but it could be due to the system, which resulted in them having to wait for their turn.
“The offer letter (for entry to the IPT) is important as it will speed up their vaccination process, whereby they can just go to any vaccination centre or health clinic to get their vaccine jab,” he told reporters after attending the 2021 Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) All-Malaysia Student Representative Council Convention here today. - FMT
