Phase 4 of the National Recovery Plan will involve the admission of Standard 1, 2, and 3 primary school students on Nov 1, said the Education Ministry in a statement today.
Form 3 and 4 students in secondary schools will also be admitted, it said.
It explained this is in line with the transition from Phase 3 to 4 of the NRP for Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Selangor, and Malacca.
"Attendance for Standard 4, 5 and 6 primary school students, as well as those in remove classes, Form 1 and 2 for secondary school students, will begin on Nov 8,” it added.
The Education Ministry said for states under Phase 3 of the NRP, preschool students and those with special needs will be allowed to attend:
- Sekolah Kebangsaan Pendidikan Khas
- Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pendidikan Khas
- Sekolah Menengah Pendidikan Khas Vokasional, and
- Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi
It said states which will be transitioning from Phase 2 to 3 of the NRP include Kelantan, Perak, Penang, Sabah, and Kedah this Monday (Oct 18).
The Phase 3 rules also involve students in:
- Form 6 Semester 2
- Pre-university programmes at Malaysian Sports Schools
- Public examination classes at full boarding schools, day schools, or private schools
- International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBP) Programmes
- International examination classes (IGCSE O-Level, A-Level, Australia Higher School Certificate and IBD)
- Other international examination classes
