Diesel down by another 5 sen in Peninsular Malaysia

 

PETALING JAYA: 

The price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will be reduced by five sen from RM3.30 to RM3.25 per litre from tomorrow, the finance ministry announced today.

The price of RON97 will stay at RM3.47 per litre and RON95 at RM2.05 per litre. Diesel will continue to retail at RM2.15 per litre in East Malaysia.

These prices will remain in effect until Aug 21.

In a statement, the ministry said it reduced the price of diesel in West Malaysia due to a recent decline in global crude oil prices.

The price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia was reduced by five sen from RM3.35 to RM3.30 per litre on Aug 8.

The ministry said the government would continue to monitor global crude oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure the people’s continued welfare and well-being. - FMT
