Padawan police chief Irwan Hafiz Radzi says the 23-year-old is being remanded for seven days from today.

PETALING JAYA: Sarawak police have arrested a man on suspicion of raping his 18-year-old ex-wife at a home in Kuching last Friday.
Harian Metro reported Padawan police chief Irwan Hafiz Radzi as saying that the Kuching magistrates’ court allowed the 23-year-old man to be remanded for seven days from today.
He said the case is currently being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.
Previously, a six-minute audio recording of the incident, believed to have been recorded by the victim, was widely shared on social media.
The incident allegedly occurred at a home in Matang, Kuching, at 8am on Friday.
Police arrested the suspect on the same day after the victim lodged a police report. - FMT
