PM mingles with crowd after National Day parade

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim drew attention when he walked nearly 500 metres along the main stretch of Dataran Putrajaya to mingle with visitors attending the 2025 National Day celebration.

Anwar was greeted with cheers from the crowd, who were eager to see the country's leader and seized the opportunity to take photographs and shake hands with him.

This year’s National Day celebration was held in grand style with the participation of more than 14,000 people, 78 vehicle assets, seven decorated floats, cultural performances and an aerial display that entertained spectators. - NSTP/ASWADI ALIAS

Along the route, Anwar spent time warmly engaging with people from all walks of life, including children, senior citizens and tourists who flocked to the celebration.

When approached by the media about the event, Anwar simply responded with a smile and a thumbs-up.

He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who also mingled with the crowd.
