 Here is a tabulation of the local stock market's performance the past 12 months compared to other stock markets. This is from Bloomberg. As you can see the local stock indices are all in the red. India and Thailand are also sickly.

South Korea, China, Hong Kong are just cruising ahead. 

 

 Sadly the local market is NOT at the "center of the world's attention".
