SHAH ALAM, Aug 14 — A man was left with serious injuries to his left hand following an alleged machete attack during a fight involving several individuals in Sri Muda yesterday.

According to The Star, the incident reportedly occurred around 11am near a petrol station along Jalan Bukit Kemuning. The 38 year old victim is currently receiving treatment at Klang Hospital.

Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sarudin Samah said officers received a report from the injured man and have since opened investigations. 

He said police are investigating the case under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting while armed, Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with a weapon, and Section 8 of the Arms Act 1960 for possession of an object resembling a firearm.
