FAM honorary president Hamidin Amin is not on the list of candidates for the governing body’s executive committee election for the remainder of the 2025-2029 term.
Hamidin, who was appointed FAM honorary president at its annual congress in June last year, is not on the list of candidates for the governing body’s executive committee election for the remainder of the 2025-2029 term on Sept 17.
Ghani is the Malaysian Football League president while Shahril is deputy president of the Selangor Football Association.
The post of vice-president 1 will see a three-way contest between Rosmadi Ismail, Firdaus Mohamed and Syed Yazid Syed Omar.
N Saaran and Afizal Abu Othman will contest the post of vice-president 3.
Seven candidates are vying for three executive committee positions in the state football association category, while five are contesting two positions in the club category.
FAM election committee chairman Abdullah Said said all nominations had undergone a review and verification process in accordance with FAM’s statutes, rules and election procedures.
