Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar has a new addition to his vehicle fleet - but it will sit in jarring contrast to the rest of his collection.
It is unlikely to set lap records, unlike what most of his cars are capable of, and probably doesn't even have a combustion engine.
This is because the ruler's newest vehicle is a replica version of Fred Flintstone's car, which he received as a gift from the Pahang regent Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.
Unlike cartoon character's foot-powered vehicle, Sultan Ibrahim's vehicle will leave a bit of a carbon footprint because it is powered by a motor.
"The Flintstones is Tuanku Sultan Ibrahim's favourite cartoon, with Fred Flintstone being his favourite cartoon character.
"And, just in case it rains, the car comes complete with a makeshift cloth 'roof' with a cut-out back screen in lieu of an actual rear window," reads a post on the ruler's Facebook page.
Sultan Ibrahim is known to be a luxury vehicle enthusiast, with several Chevrolet Corvettes, Ford Mustangs, Lamborghinis, Maseratis and even a Humvee in his fleet.
In 2015, he took possession of the world's most expensive Mack truck, which came complete with accommodation, a kitchen, gold thread stitching and a solid gold tiger hood ornament.
Sultan Ibrahim's love affair with The Flintstones, a popular 1960s cartoon series by Hanna Barbara, is well documented.
The ruler is currently building "Istana Flintstones" in Mersing, Johor which he once described as his "gift to Johor" and "The eighth wonder of the world".
He told History Channel that the new palace would help boost tourism in the sleepy town and that it would be open to the public.- Mkini
