jet was targeted Sun evening over Kitaf wa al-Boqe'e district in Sa’ada

development reflected on official Twitter page of al-Masirah.
Earlier Yemeni fighters had destroyed Emirati armored vehicle north in Ta’izz.
Dec 30, 2017, Yemeni forces shoot down a Saudi (UAV) in Hajjah.
late Oct, Yemen targeted Eurofighter Typhoon belonging to Saudi
aircraft targeted with surface-to-air missile over Nihm east of Sana’a.

My comments : In any war of aggression against a smaller country, the people will develop resilience and stronger defiance against the aggressor. Necessity is the mother of invention. So they will figure out newer and more effective ways of hitting back at the enemy. The longer the war lasts, the more time the victims (like Yemen) will have to mobilise their resources better.
In this case the world is full of SAM systems (surface to air missiles) which are available for sale. Which is why Saudi Arabia, with the help of the USA, has imposed a blockade against Yemen. Because without the blockade, for a certainty the Yemenis would have brought in tons of SAMs to blow the Saudi aircraft out of the sky.
The question now is how do the Yemenis run around the blockade to smuggle more anti aircraft missiles into Yemen? They have been able to shoot down so many advanced jet fighters (Tornados, F15s, F16s) using the barest minimum numbers of anti aircraft missiles.
The longer this war lasts the more Saudi aircraft will be shot down from the sky. This is a futile war with no end game in sight.
