Low Income Nation News : 50,000 More To be laid off, Malaysians becoming PATI (pekerja asing tanpa izin) in Korea.

1.   50,000 to be laid off in 2018, says report

MEF says among factors - increase in maternity leave

>50,000 employees to be laid off this year, reported The Sun.

quoted MEF saying manufacturing main sector affected
insurance, banking, retail and construction sectors.

  • among challenges facing job market were levy on foreign workers
  • and Employee Insurance Scheme.

increase in maternity leave days, from 60 days to 90 days
possibility of paternity leave also factors

automation another factor for job losses

MNCs leaving due to higher wage costs

Cambodia and Laos wages below US$100
Malaysia about US$250.

based on Labour Department 30k - 50k people retrenched this year
finance, construction, manufacturing sectors

My comments :  Ya lah. Melayu miskin dulu.

Gomen dungu tak tahu buat kerja dengan betul.
Tapi gomen dungu nak jadi popular.
They buat populist policies.

They give away what is not theirs. For example they increase maternity leave from 60 days to 90 days.

Which employer likes to pay gaji buta for THREE MONTHS? Women will now suffer even more discrimination. Employers will not want to hire as many women. Especially child bearing and married women.

The question is, kaum yang mana yang paling ramai melahirkan anak ? Chinese, Indian or Malay / bumiputra? Jawapan betul : Malay / bumiputra women.

The 'memperbanyakkan ummah', 'anak bawa rezeki' and other such beliefs leads them to have many children. Some may have a baby in January and another baby in December.

Employers will be wary of this group.
Unemployment rates among this group will increase.
Melayu miskin dulu.

Now here is news about Malaysians becoming PATI  in Korea and other countries.

2.  Malaysians becoming illegal labourers in foreign countries

more Malaysians illegal labourers in foreign lands.
According to Utusan Malaysia - South Korea.

work in 3D -- dangerous, difficult and dirty--jobs
manufacturing, services, construction, plantation workers.
suffer life-altering injuries, losing limbs
forced to pay expensive medical bills
not protected under any insurance.

Masalah buruh haram Malaysia di luar negara
sebelum ini berlaku di Australia
mula merebak ke Korea Selatan
pekerjaan sektor pengilangan, perkhidmatan perladangan

My comments : Malaysians becoming PATI (Pendatang Asing Tanpa Izin or Pekerja Asing Tanpa Izin) in Korea and other countries.

And we are still on target to become High Income Nation?
