'BN's in my heart', Ramli declares amidst party-jumping speculation

CAMERON POLLS | BN's Cameron Highlands candidate Ramli Mohd Nor had only one reply when questioned on speculation he may jump ship should he win the Jan 26 parliamentary by-election.
“My response is simple. BN dihatiku (BN is in my heart).
“In our fight, we must have sincerity, honesty and integrity. That is all,” Ramli said to reporters at the Kampung Raja mosque today.
Later in a statement on Facebook, he said it is a form of political accusation.
“Please stop such dirty accusations,” Ramli said.
He stressed that he would not “betray” the BN fight, especially in fighting to “return the voices of the rakyat who were lied to”.
Ramli was responding to a Malaysiakini report earlier this morning in which highly-ranked BN source speculated that he may join the ruling coalition should he win the coming polls.
The source, who is involved in Ramli's campaign, further predicted the former top cop could choose to become an independent.
Ramli is not a member of any BN component party despite contesting under the party ticket.
The source reportedly said this has brought up concerns among the BN grassroots that Ramli could join Pakatan Harapan upon victory.
Besides Ramli and Harapan’s M Manogaran, two other independents – Sallehudin Ab Talib, and Wong Seng Yee – are also contesting in the Jan 26 by-election. -Mkini
