Azmin hopes PLUS reviews decision to stop Touch n’ Go reload service

PLUS says it is stopping Touch n’ Go reload service at toll plazas to prevent congestion.
KUALA LUMPUR: Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali hopes PLUS Malaysia Berhad will review its decision to discontinue Touch n’ Go reload services at its highways, saying it was an inconvenience to motorists.
“I hope the management can review the decision by taking into account the views of highway users. They should continue to provide alternatives for the convenience of road users,” he said when met at the Parliament today.
Effective yesterday, motorists travelling along PLUS highways could no longer reload their Touch n’ Go cards at all toll plaza exit lanes.
Many have since taken to social media to criticise the decision.
PLUS said the decision was aimed at reducing congestion at toll plazas.
The company said it happened most often between Hutan Kampung (Alor Star) and Ipoh Utara, and between Seremban and Skudai in the southern region. - FMT
