More 'false messages' issued in name of PKR leaders

More false messages targeting PKR leaders have emerged ahead of the party's political bureau meeting today.
When contacted, PKR Youth (AMK) vice-chief Mohd Nazree Mohd Yunus denied a message citing his name as allegedly announcing cancellation of a meeting to be chaired by PKR Youth deputy chief, Hilman Idham, in Shah Alam.
"That message was not from me. I can confirm that the meeting will go on," Nazree (above) told Malaysiakini.
It is believed the message was shared in a PKR Youth Whatsapp group about 2pm today, several hours after PKR communications chief Fahmi Fadzil denied another message that misused his name.

The purported message from Fahmi quoted him as confirming that PKR president Anwar Ibrahim had an audience with the Agong at Istana Negara this morning.
Anwar had similarly dismissed the allegation which comes in the wake of mounting pressure on Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad to hasten the transition of power following Pakatan Harapan's colossal defeat in the Tanjung Piai by-election on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Nazree said that "hidden hands" were trying to prevent their group, comprising AMK leaders elected to their positions during the last party polls, from meeting tonight.
"I'm not sure the reason for certain parties to share the false message, but I'm confident it is the work of 'hidden hands' who are afraid of our plans tonight," he said.
"I regret their actions. They should have nothing to fear."
Nazree confirmed yesterday he had issued invitations for today's meeting and that state AMK leaders appointed by PKR Youth head Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir were not invited.
The parallel meeting by Hilman and Nazree for the PKR Youth leaders comes at a time when PKR deputy president Azmin Ali had hosted meetings for a group of BN and PKR MPs.
The first meeting took place on Monday night at Azmin's official residence in Putrajaya, while another meeting took place in Parliament yesterday.
Anwar had demanded an explanation from Azmin regarding the meeting with BN lawmakers but the economic affairs minister said he would check his schedule to determine if he was free to attend PKR's political bureau meeting today. - Mkini
