Need to fully agree with MP Ramkarpal that UMNO President and MP Zahid Hamidi should be hauled to court for his "unwarranted" statement over the bicycle tragedy case at Johor.
Having been an ex-Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, Zahid Hamidi should follow protocol to voice his displeasure and not create a "wrong picture" about the case while making a speech during the Tanjung Piai by-elections.
It was revealed that the police were unable to prove the case so the Johor Bahru Magistrate had no alternative but to dismiss the action.
Zahid Hamidi's speech had implied that the current PH government was somewhat involved in the court's decision and that the Magistrate Siti Hajar Ali was not impartial in her decision.
Zahid Hamidi being an MP should face a severe punishment for his misleading statement made to the public about this case when he had full knowledge that there were no concrete evidence to charge the woman as it was reported widely in the medias.
Can we see the Johor Bahru Magistrate Siti Hajar Ali and Attorney-General Tommy Thomas to initiate contempt proceedings against Zahid Hamidi immediately. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
