Seven PKR Youth leaders will protest their removal - Hilman

KIMANIS POLLS | The removal of seven executive committee members from the PKR Youth leadership council was not done according to due process, said PKR Youth deputy chief Muhammad Hilman Idham.
As such, he said he had instructed the seven to write a protest letter to party president Anwar Ibrahim and secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
"Their removal was not done according to (due) process and guidelines," Muhammad Hilman (photo) told Malaysiakini in Kimanis today.
"They must follow the process and refer the decision to the central leadership council, and this should be discussed in a meeting," he said.

On Wednesday, Malaysiakini reported that the seven executive committee members were removed from its leadership council due to their absenteeism from meetings.
They were Nagarajan Kaniappan, Ahmad Khairul Mohamed Noor, Mohd Akmal Hisyam Ahmad Tamyiz, Mohd Firdaus Yusoff, Mohd Izad Buqhary Mohd Kamri, Nik Mohd Faris Syazwan Zainuzzaman and Wan Mohamad Fitri Wan Abdul Rahim.
PKR Youth chief Akmal Nasrullah Nasir had previously explained that the seven were removed following due process.
He pointed to how PKR Youth had published the attendance records of all 73 leadership council members during the wing’s congress last month.
The records, included in a report issued to all delegates during the congress, showed that the seven had not attended any meetings last year and had not given any reasons.
“We were transparent to publish (it) during the congress. No one questioned or tried to question the attendance (record list). No one challenged it.
“So the due process has been carried out,” he said.
Akmal said the seven executive committee members replacements will be discussed by the council in a meeting on Sunday. - Mkini
