These are just some samples of messages by Malaysians, who flooded social media to voice their gratitude for the tireless healthcare workers in dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak.

Facebook user Gehna Kaur acknowledged the diligent efforts of the Health Ministry in dealing with the pandemic.

“We are all going to be okay, our doctors are working very hard for us to be able to go out again, for everything to go back to normal.

“While we sit at home and wait for every update anxiously, let’s also pray that these frontliners can go back to their families safe and uninfected,” she said.

Another Facebook user Jeremy Justin Ch’ng saluted Dr Noor Hisham and his team for doing a “great job”.

Commentators have also praised Dr Noor Hisham for being a steady hand and reassuring face during a time of crisis.

A Twitter user hoped the Health DG would continue to keep up the good work.

“Thank you for all the efforts done by the frontliners. I feel very comfortable when I see you in a press conference, may Allah bless you sir!” he tweeted.

With the Covid-19 crisis mounting, many Malaysians were also grateful that he was able to

present explanations and updates about the matter in a clear and simple way.

“The highest level of intelligence is to make things simple. This is what Datuk Dr Noor Hisham is doing.

“Explain (things) one by one in a comprehensive way to the public,” said someone on Facebook. - Star/others
