Manja Ismail's term as Media Prima Television Networks group managing edior of news and current ends today, according to sources.
The veteran newsman was appointed to the post two weeks after the fall of the BN government in May 2018.
Contacted by Malaysiakini, Manja declined to comment.
However, sources close to Media Prima have confirmed the departure, which is perceived to be linked to the recent political changes.
"That's right. (But) I'm not sure (of the reason). There will be a town hall at 4pm this afternoon and his successor already came in and met the boss," said sources.
Media Prima's CEO is Johan Ishak.
Another source claimed that Manja's contract had already expired.
"The contract has expired and the new boss will come in," he said briefly.
Manja assumed the role following Mohd Ashraf Abdullah's resignation two years ago. He had previously served as the latter's deputy. - Mkini
