DON’T BRUSH IT OFF, AGONG – IMAGINE THE POLITICAL CATASTROPHE IF MUHYIDDIN, AZMIN CARTEL & CO-PLOTTERS ARE INFLICTED DUE TO EX-MINISTER’S CLOSE CONTACT WITH CONFIRMED COVID-19 PATIENT: MALAYSIA CHALKS LARGEST SINGLE-DAY INCREASE IN CORONAVIRUS CASES, TOTAL TALLY NOW 36

Malaysia has recorded seven new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 36, reveals the Prime Minister’s Department.

This is the highest single-day increase in the number of cases since the Covid-19 infection began in Malaysia.
“There were seven new cases reported in Malaysia today, March 3. Therefore, there are now 36 recorded cases to date. Of this, 22 cases (61.1 percent) have recovered.
“Fourteen more are still being treated at Sungai Buloh Hospital and Kuala Lumpur Hospital. In all cases under treatment, they are in stable condition,” the Prime Minister’s Department said in a statement today.
The Health Ministry said it will issue a statement on the details of the new cases soon.
Malaysia recorded its first four cases on Jan 25. The number of cases since then had increased three cases at most in a day.
The tally had stood at 22 cases since Feb 16 as Malaysia did not record any new Covid-19 cases for 11 days.
However, the second wave of Covid-19 cases began on Feb 27. In this second wave, 14 new cases have been reported in under a week.
Meanwhile, Muhyiddin was also briefed on the economy today.
The Prime Minister’s Department said the premier had instructed the Finance Ministry to ensure that the implementation of the government stimulus package would proceed smoothly.
The stimulus was announced by then-interim prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad last week. The plan had been crafted during the Pakatan Harapan government.
Besides that, discussions were also held on ensuring the Budget 2020 is spent effectively to maximise returns, making the economy more competitive.
