Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad posted pictures of his morning bike ride around Putrajaya today.
Notably, the former premier was seen sporting a helmet bearing the emblem of Bersatu, his now divided party which is largely backing party president and newly-sworn in eighth Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
"I was cycling around the Putrajaya lake this morning.
"An active body and good stamina are very important so that we can perform the activities or jobs we want to do," said the two-time former prime minister in a brief post.
He was accompanied on his ride by Airport Limo chairperson and long-distance swimmer Abdul Malik Mydin and a small number of other riders.
Mahathir has adopted a low profile since the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan administration last month and the division of Bersatu.
Bersatu is leading Muhyiddin's Perikatan Nasional coalition but is also present in state coalitions with Harapan partners PKR, DAP and Amanah - a most notable example being Kedah where Mahathir's son Mukhriz still heads the government.
