CORONAVIRUS | McDonalds and Texas Chicken will continue to provide delivery and takeaway services throughout the Movement Control Order period.
During this period, all restaurants are not allowed to serve dine-in customers to discourage the public from gathering and contracting the Covid-19 virus.
McDonalds urged customers to use cashless transaction for purchases in order to safeguard other guests and employees.
"During this time, we are putting our customers and employees as our utmost priority, which is why we are taking the necessary safety measures in our restaurants nationwide.
"We will continue to monitor the situation and update you on any new developments," said the company on its Facebook page.
"Please stay safe, everyone – together, we'll pull through this!" said Texas Chicken on their Facebook page.
According to the National Security Council, all restaurants, hawker centres and fast-food outlets are not allowed to dine-in customers from tomorrow until March 31.
As of this evening, Covid-19 has claimed two lives and infected 673 people in Malaysia.
As of 5pm, there were 120 new infections, a 21.7 percent jump since compared to the day before. - Mkini
