From Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz : Time to STOP POLITICKING and to WORK !

Dear All,

These are trying times for all of us...

Many must STAY PUT at home , in order to help contain the Pandemic

Some may be forced to stay home, because of circumstances beyond their control...

• ....when their employers have to retrench workers
• ....when businesses and workplaces have no choice but to shut down
• ....when the Pandemic begins to have various degrees of Economic Impact on the lives of our People

The impact may be short term...or for the longer haul.

It is hoped that WHATEVER Measures put into place by the Government, every one of them are carefully thought out ...so that 

• ....the TARGET GROUPS are reached Effectively
• ....there are REAL BENEFITS accruing to those Target Groups
• ...NOT to some Third Parties, through some RANDOM " projects" and " programmes"
• ....the MOST VULNERABLE are addressed first...WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION and pre programmed choices of targets.
• ....MALAYSIANS are MALAYSIANS...regardless of who and where they are.
• ...REAL NEEDS must be properly identified...so that the remedial and support measures...USING PUBLIC FUNDS ie Taxpayers ' money...is Productively, and Responsibly spent , and on the DESERVING amongst the People.

While our dedicated Health Sector Personnel, continue to address, tirelessly, the challenges of the Pandemic...the OTHER Sectors of Government MUST IN PARALLEL, AND at the SAME TIME...WORK, to

....BE READY to IMPLEMENT, as soon as possible...whatever properly thought out Plans and Programmes, in order to ASSIST the Nation's various ECONOMIC DRIVERS (ie the Economic Sectors), to overcome the Economic Impact of the Pandemic

....to address the impact on the Nation's Workforce ..at all levels..

so that there can be expeditious absorption of the unemployed, especially in Key sectors, back into the Economy, once there is the capacity to do so,

....to look into the setbacks to the Education System as a result of the Disruptions, and to re Tool the modes of Education processes

....Enhance Public Communication, which, often, can be regarded as on the verge of being not useful, if not disastrous 

We need a MORE COHERENT CHAIN OF GOVERNMENT and GOVERNING

...and one that is EFFECTIVE, and NOT based upon any form of disparately DIVISIVE lines.

Time to STOP POLITICKING and to WORK !
