Former PKR deputy chief Afif Bahardin would remain in the party as he is committed to Pakatan Harapan who won the mandate to govern Penang in the last national polls in 2018 (GE14).
"I'm a party man, I will follow the party's decision. If I'm sacked, I will see what to do then," he told reporters in Komtar, when asked about his situation in the party.
Afif is a well-known ally of former PKR deputy president Azmin Ali, who only last week, set the motion of a new government to replace Pakatan Harapan in Putrajaya.
Popularly known now as the "Sheraton Move", the event led to Bersatu acting chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin becoming the eight prime minister, with Umno, PAS and Azmin's faction in his government.
"I've been a long time with Azmin and also PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, my first political involvement is in PKR.
"I won my first seat in Seberang Jaya under PKR and I am committed to serve as a state executive councillor under Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow," he said.
"There is no question about my loyalty and commitment to Penang.
"The posts and mandate given to me is not a right but a privilege for me to do my level best to serve the people," Afif said.
Afif attended a meeting with PKR leadership in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, and has stated his stand on the political fiasco.
He met with several angry PKR members there who were not happy with his link to Azmin, but said " that is normal in any struggle".
He pledged commitment to the principles of a reformed government, free from corruption.
Afif was issued a show-cause letter last month and has replied last Wednesday to the accusation of creating chaos at the party's annual congress last December.
"I have told the leadership that I'm prepared to face any action. I leave it to their wisdom to decide the outcome of the matter.
"Nothing is confirmed yet. I am still waiting for the discipline board to come back to me after reviewing my reply," Afif said. - Mkini
