JOHOR BARU: The 10 new Johor exco members are expected be announced soon after Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad arrived at the Istana Pasir Pelangi on Wednesday (March 4) for an audience with Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar.
It is learnt that Hasni, who is the state Umno and Barisan Nasional chief, would be presenting his state executive committee line up to His Majesty.
Hasni arrived at the palace ground in an official black Audi before entering the palace on Wednesday (March 4) at around 1.15pm.
Also spotted at the palace was Johor state secretary Datuk Azmi Rohani.
Hasni, who was sworn in as the 18th Johor Mentri Besar last Friday (Feb 28) will hold a press conference at the Mentri Besar Office in Kota Iskandar at around 3pm later in the day.
It is learnt that Umno is expected to take four exco positions, followed by three from Bersatu, one each from MIC and PAS while another seat will be kept for a "Chinese exco".
At press time, among those in the running for state executive councillors include Datuk Samsol Bari Jamali (Umno-Semarang), Datuk Zulkarnain Kamisan (Umno-Sri Medan), Nor Rasidah Ramli (Umno-Parit Raja) and Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi (Umno-Layang Layang) and Datuk Syed Sis A.Rahman (Umno- Tanjung Surat).
Others include Johor MIC chief R. Vidyanathan (MIC- Kahang), Najib Lep (PAS), Mazlan Bujang (Barsatu- Puteri Wangsa), Mohd Solihan Badri (Bersatu-Tenang) and Tosrin Jarvanthi (Bukit Permai) - Star
