Activist Fadiah Nadwa Fikri is being probed by the Bukit Aman police over a public rally on Saturday night during the week of intense political turmoil.
Before meeting the police, the lawyer addressed the media, saying that Malaysians are disgusted by what has been transpiring in the country's political landscape.
"It's not about me. It's about us Malaysians who are disgusted by what is going on," she said outside of the federal police headquarters' main entrance.
A group of about 20 people, including Marina Mahathir, converged here to extend their support for Fadiah.
She was alleged to have uploaded a post online calling for people to attend the protest against the “betrayal” over the current political crises and collapse of the government.
Bukit Aman CID director Huzir Mohamed reportedly said that Fadiah is being investigated under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948 and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
