CORONAVIRUS | Petaling Jaya police today says they have received information on the identities of participants of the Sri Petaling tabligh gathering who came from the district.
District police chief Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal (above) said they are on standby to assist the Health Ministry in bringing the individuals for Covid-19 screening.
"Yes, there are a number of them in Petaling Jaya.
"We have been informed (of the participants), and we are ready to assist the Health Ministry in approaching these tabligh members," he told reporters at Taman Dato Harun earlier today.
Nik Ezanee was there for a ceremony to welcome a team of Armed Forces personnel, who were deployed today to assist the district police in enforcing the movement control order.
However, when asked how many of the participants were traced back to Petaling Jaya, the officer said he was not at liberty to reveal such information.
