CORONAVIRUS | Pos Malaysia outlets will be closed this Saturday - perhaps for the first time ever.
According to a Pos Malaysia spokesperson, the closure was necessary for the company to conduct planning and for their staff to rest.
"Due to the movement control order (MCO), our operations will be closed on March 28 for us to strategically review our manpower and delivery resources, to better manage our operations during this time.
"Our customers may conveniently opt to make their transactions online.
"This closure would also allow time for our employees who have been working tirelessly, as part of the country’s essential service provider, some rest during this challenging period," the spokesperson told Malaysiakini.
Previously, Pos Malaysia had already suspended operations in some malls and government buildings, among others, that were required to close during the MCO period.
Other Pos Malaysia offices operated on reduced hours from 8.30am to 3pm on weekdays and 8.30am to 1pm on Saturday.
Pos Malaysia outlets inside malls were supposed to operate between 10am and 3pm from Monday to Saturday. - Mkini
