Muhammad Fateh Aqil Mohd Nazmee, a 28-month old toddler undergoing treatment for leukaemia, has been confirmed as one of Malaysia's youngest Covid-19 patient so far.
His plight was revealed through a Facebook post by Children with Cancer Support Association (Pesona) yesterday.
"Please pray for Muhammad Fateh Aqil Mohd Nazmee, two years and four months, who was tested positive for Covid-19.
"Fateh, a leukaemia patient, was supposed to undergo his scheduled chemotherapy session at the Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) Kubang Kerian, but the blood test carried out found that he was infected with Covid-19.
"Let's all pray for Fateh's recovery and so he can continue his battle (against leukaemia)," said Pesona in the post that had gone viral with over 1,000 shares.
Sources from the Health Ministry also confirmed the matter.
"Yes, he is now being treated at the Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II (HRPZ II), Kota Bharu.
"He was infected through a family member," said the source who declined to be named.
It is understood that Muhammad Fateh is among the youngest patients in Malaysia to be infected with Covid-19 so far. - Mkini
