Azmin's eldest sister hospitalised for Covid-19

CORONAVIRUS | The eldest sister of International Trade and Industry Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali, Norlia Ali, has been tested positive for Covid-19.

This was revealed by their younger sister Ummi Hafilda Ali in a Facebook post today.

"Sad news, my eldest sister is positive with Covid-19 and is now in Sungai Buloh Hospital.

"May she be granted strength to be separated from family members with just a day left before Hari Raya," said Ummi Hafilda who shared a photograph (above) taken with her sister.

"Only God has the power to change the impossible and heal her," said Ummi Hafilda, who has been estranged from some of her siblings including Azmin and television personality Azwan Ali.

As of noon today, Malaysia has recorded 78 new Covid-19 cases, most of which involved foreigners.

Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 25 cases involved Malaysians returning from abroad and 40 cases involved foreigners.

This meant that there were 13 new cases that involved local transmission among Malaysians.

In total, there are now 7,137 Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, of which 1,163 people are still being treated. - Mkini
