COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 3,140 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the cumulative infections to 2,724,684.
The number of new Covid-19 cases is on a steady two month downtrend and the R-number, as of yesterday, is 0.91. There are no states where the R-number is above 1.00.
The number of hospital admission of confirmed Covid-19 patients over the last seven days declined by 18.8 percent compared to the preceding week.
The state-level breakdown of new cases will only be published after midnight. Below is the figures from yesterday (Dec 20) when 2,589 new cases was reported.
It should be noted that while the new cases for Selangor yesterday was relatively low - at level not seen since February this year - the state has been grappling with massive flooding over the weekend.
