JOHOR BAHRU: Sabah-based Warisan will restructure its strategy in preparation for the 15th general election, party president Shafie Apdal said today.
The party, making its debut in a peninsular election, failed to win in any of the six seats contested at the Johor elections.
Shafie said the results were not as expected, but now was not the time to give up.
He congratulated Barisan Nasional on the coalition’s victory and thanked the people of Johor for accepting Warisan’s presence in the state.
BN won 40 of the 56 seats in the state assembly. The opposition comprises Pakatan Harapan and PKR (12), Perikatan Nasional (3) and Muda (1).
Warisan had contested the Mahkota, Bekok, Pekan Nanas, Permas, Johor Jaya and Bukit Batu seats. - FMT
