COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 30,246 new daily Covid-19 cases was reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 3,711,199.
Active cases currently stood at 310,161, up 8.3 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Over the past week, an average of 79.3 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 48.5, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 33,497 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
Malaysia has the highest number of deaths per capita in the Asean and East Asian regions with 997 deaths per 1 million population, and fourth-worst in Asia after Iran, Lebanon and Jordan – all in the Middle East.
The highest number of deaths was reported in Selangor (22) followed by Sabah (18), Johor (14), Penang (10), Pahang (9), Perak (7), Negeri Sembilan (6), Terengganu (4), Kelantan (3), Malacca (2), Perlis (2), Sarawak (2),Kuala Lumpur (2), .
There are 8,570 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 388 are in intensive care.
Intensive care bed utilisation by Covid-19 patients are not at critical in any part of the country. The highest utilisation rate was in Kelantan (73 percent).
The utilisation of ventilators dedicated to Covid-19 patients is also low, at 25 percent. - Mkini
