PARLIAMENT | Dewan Rakyat speaker Azhar Azizan Harun has allowed an emergency motion to debate the flash floods that recently hit Kuala Lumpur.
The August House will discuss and debate the emergency motion brought by Fong Kui Lun (Pakatan Harapan-Bukit Bintang) today.
This comes after Azhar decided the motion met three criteria required under Clause 18(1) of the Standing Order.
"I am satisfied that the motion meets these criteria, it is a specific matter of public interest and must be expedited.
“The motion will be discussed from 1pm to 2.30pm," he said.
