PETALING JAYA: Power supply to 37 areas affected by flooding in Kuala Lumpur has been restored as of 10pm, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) said today.
TNB said it had yet to restore supply to Perbadanan Kemajuan Kraftangan Malaysia, Impiana Hotel KLCC and Menara Perak for safety reasons.
“The public is advised to be careful when flood waters submerge substations,” said TNB.
Earlier today, TNB shut down 40 substations in Kuala Lumpur to ensure the safety of customers after flash floods hit the city.
The meteorological department has issued a thunderstorm warning for Kuala Lumpur, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor and Sabah.
The bad weather is expected to continue until March 13. - FMT
