"WHAT do I care, (you can) go die." Those were allegedly the shocking words uttered by the KL women's futsal coach to his players that spurred them to stop playing after the fourth game of the Malaysian Premier Futsal League.

Speaking on behalf of the team, Siti Nur Asmieda Suremi said they had been mistreated and their feelings injured apart from not getting their salaries since the beginning of the competition on March 8.

She called for action to be taken against the coach for the things he had said and done.

On reports that they were kicked out of their rooms during competition, she said: "We were not evicted from our homestay but the rent was not paid. We were told by the team manager and the coach that it was settled when in fact it was not."

"The club did not want to pay (homestay) for those who did not want to play. They only extended the stay for those who did play.

"We were basically told we were going to get paid on March 7, a day before kickoff. So we stayed and played until the fourth game but after that we asked about payment, and the coach said 'apa aku kisah, pergi meninggal'.

"We have all the screenshots of the phone texts which have been handed over to the PFAM (Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia), so stop lying."

Meanwhile, KLFA secretary general Nokman Mustaffa said Asmieda's team were not under the purview of the association but rather the responsibilities should fall on the Tot Academy.

"They corresponded with us but we had highlighted that all the expenditures would be under them, so I don't understand why we were dragged into this," said Nokman. - NST
