Widow of Sabah’s first chief minister dies

 

Rahimah Stephens had also served as Sabah’s community service minister.

PETALING JAYA: Rahimah Stephens, widow of Sabah’s first chief minister, Fuad Stephens, passed away this morning. She was 92.

According to the Borneo Post, her daughter, Fauziah, confirmed the death.

The former Kiulu assemblyman is survived by three children –  Asgari, Faridah and Fauziah.

Rahimah was the first female member to be part of the Sabah state legislative assembly in 1976.

She had also served as Sabah’s community service minister. - FMT
