1. On Saturday night, three people were killed and 11 were injured in a shooting in downtown Philadelphia, authorities said, after multiple shooters opened fire in the South Street area.
Fourteen victims were taken to hospitals after the shooting, he said, adding that among them, two men and a woman had been pronounced dead upon arrival.
2. Three people were also killed after gunfire broke out early Sunday morning outside a nightspot in Chattanooga, Tennessee, authorities said.
The two people who died from gunshot wounds were among 14 who had been shot, said police spokesman Jeremy Eames, adding that it was unclear whether the third victim had also been shot. Of the victims, 16 were adults and one was a juvenile.
3. Shooting incidents also occurred in Phoenix, 4. Arizona and 5. Socorro, Texas over the weekend.
Altogether, on Saturday and Sunday, gun violence nationwide resulted in at least 10 mass shootings.
