COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 1,128 new Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active infections stood at 21,202, down 15.7 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Perak (47)
Johor (44)
Kedah (34)
Negeri Sembilan (26)
Sarawak (22)
Malacca (12)
Kelantan (10)
Pahang (8)
Terengganu (7)

Perlis (3)
Labuan (0)
Another nine deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which four were declared as "brought in dead".
These deaths were reported in Kedah (2), Malacca (2), Johor (1), Penang (1), Selangor (1), Terengganu (1) and Kuala Lumpur (1).
There have been 23 Covid-19 deaths in the first week of this month alone. For comparison, there were 129 deaths last month and 564 in April.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,699 deaths were attributed to the coronavirus.
A total of 918 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised of which 25 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (135) followed by Johor (84) and Sabah (56). - Mkini
