KL June 8 — 

• Sidek said Najib put him in 1MDB board out of “goodness” of heart
• because of "low" civil servant’s salary
• not due to his position of chief secretary 

• Sidek's RM29,125 monthly pay as chief secretary to govt 
• PM thought it was a bit low and Sidek should be compensated in other ways
• in the goodness of his heart — that was the reason
• not because I was KSN (chief secretary) I was offered,” he added

(OSTB : Hmm..if it was to supplement his low civil service pay then why not appoint the timbalan Ketua Kampong Seluaq Terbakar - I heard that fellow is even more lowly paid (as an example only))

• Sidek received RM30,000 monthly fee as 1MDB adviser (July 2010- Dec 2012)
• Sidek was Petronas chairman from July 1, 2012 until June 30, 2018.

• Sidek confirmed 1MDB board of advisers had never once functioned

• Bekas KSN Sidek beritahu Mahkamah 1MDB bayar RM30,000 sebulan
• mempunyai jawatan tidak perlu hadiri mesyuarat atau kerja 
• ahli parlimen DAP kata Sidek boleh kembalikan gaji terkumpul 5 tahun

"Adakah dia sanggup berbuat demikian?" soal Lim Lip Eng
Sidek perlu memberi penjelasan kepada orang ramai
Tidakkah Sidek rasa bersalah? 

• Dia tidak soal siasatan 1MDB selama lima tahun.
• Dalam tempoh itu, tidakkah dia sedar ada sesuatu yang tidak kena?" 
• Sidek penjawat awam (KSN) yang berkuasa
