KUALA LUMPUR: Officials of the agriculture and food industries ministry will hold a special meeting tomorrow with the domestic trade and consumer affairs ministry and chicken suppliers to discuss supplies and the new ceiling price for chicken.
Agriculture and food industries minister Ronald Kiandee said a technical committee on food security would also meet on Monday (June 27) to monitor the status of food supplies and intervention actions to tackle the food supply issue.
Kiandee said chicken supply remained stable and would be adequate to meet demand.
The meetings come in the wake of the prime minister’s announcement of a new ceiling price to be set for chicken. - FMT
