PETALING JAYA: It was meant to be a “VVIP” luxury bus. But a passenger who paid RM95 for the luxury coach for a journey from Johor Bahru to Penang felt cheated when he was asked to board a normal express bus.
This led to an altercation between the passenger and express bus workers at the Larkin bus terminal in Johor Bahru on Friday, Bernama reported.
Johor Bahru Selatan district police chief Raub Selamat said an investigation was under way following several video clips of the incident going around on social media.
He said the 34-year-old passenger had also lodged a report on the rude behaviour of the four express bus workers.
“Our initial investigation found that the complainant was dissatisfied as the ‘VVIP express bus’ was changed to a regular express bus.
“The price of the express bus ticket purchased was RM95 and the condition of the bus did not commensurate with the price paid. The bus was changed and this gave rise to the misunderstanding,” he said in a statement here today.
He said police would call the bus company to assist in identifying and tracing the four workers involved.
Witnesses are asked to contact the district police at 07-2182323 or any nearby police station. -FMT
