Terengganu Umno chief Ahmad Said has been reappointed the chairperson of the Central Terengganu Development Authority (Ketengah), effective immediately.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today.
He said the former Terengganu menteri besar's reappointment would hopefully spur development at three districts in the state's central region, namely Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman.
According to Zahid further, Ketengah will also focus on creating new entrepreneurs in the rural community.
The Umno president was speaking to reporters after attending a breaking-of-fast function at a mosque in Seberang Takir in Terengganu last night, reported Astro Awani.
On another matter, Zahid said all Umno candidates will compete in the upcoming election in six states using BN's dacing (scale) symbol.
Candidates from other parties in the coalition government, meanwhile, will contest under their respective party symbols, he added.
"However, we will move as one - as part of the unity government." - Mkini
