The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih 2.0) this morning filed a judicial review application to challenge Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein's order to declare it illegal.
Bersih filed the application at the Kuala Lumpur High Court registry.
Its 14-member steering committee led by chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan named the Home Minister, inspector-general of police and government as respondents in the 46-page judicial review application.
Earlier this month, Hishammuddin declared Bersih as an illegal organisation but Ambiga rejected it outright, pointing out that the movement was a loose coalition of registered societies.
