Who speaks for the majority?

All praise to our DYMM in his majesty's birthday message as reported in the Star urging the 'people to unite towards common good and refrain from becoming hostile towards each other, which would eventually bring misfortune to all.
"What will we leave to our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who shall be the future generation? Are they going to inherit a prosperous and peaceful country or a failed nation. In my opinion, all these options are in the hands of every Malaysian.
"Do not place any political party or any organisation above national interest, thereby destroying harmony. This is clearly an unhealthy development and must be avoided," ...Star, June 2, 2012.

And1Malaysia's speech which is supposed to represent the people sounds someone who is a birthday party spoiler, issuing a warning to the minority no to usurp the 'superiority of the majority' by their shouting the loudest and carrying out 'undemocratic' ways of regime change - which essentially is a warning against those who want to take over power other than the democratic means.

And a reminder that the 'means does not justify the end' and as peace-loving people, Malaysians should defend the institution and system which was proven to have benefited national life, and not raising doubts, what more distrust of the people.

And a whole lot of usual predictable self praise and shioksendiri adulation of the goodness of the government and all the wonderful milk and honey deeds they have done for BolehLand citizens.

Gosh is he for real in thinking he is representing the silent majority in what he read out huh? See details here

Again and again, the will of the majority is supreme and minorities are like annoying mosquitoes and woodworms out to destroy their fortress Putrajaya we can supposed?

So the Bersih 3.0 fellows and the Pakatan group and all their followers are the majority who should subject to the will of the majority right?

When these 'minority' Bersih 3.0 and Pakatan geng are advocating for clean election, fight against cronyism, corruption, abuse of power, bigotry and what not, their voices doesn't really count if we are to subscribe to 1Malaysia's 'majority wins hands down' legitimacy argument.

These 'minority' groups have often been reminded that they do not represent the voices of the majority. And to prove the point of the ill intentions of these minority groups, the government goes on a witchhunt and bad boy name calling on everyone in the minority groups as seen in how they handled the Bersih 3.0 aftermath. And also their tactics towards the minority opposition controlled state governments.

So our Bersih 3.0 and Pakatan fellows are the minority and should not think they speak of the majority. If that is the case, why is it that when small groups in the likes of Perkasa, Perkid, Bersih 4.0 petty traders, mat rempits on motorbikes, behave unruly are not they minorities? But these group of minorities are considered representing the 'majority?'

Politicians are really vain shioksendiri fellows who love to hear their own voices and heaps self conceited praise of themselves. That's why they love to talk on ends. They use their election wins as justification of the majority giving them absolute power to what they do and over the 'minorities'.

If we use that argument, isn't the Pakatan states the will of the majority for them to rule as they wish? Why is the federal government going against the will of the majority of these states to govern as they please and sabotaging the state government instead?

And when the majority elected government passed idiotic laws, do they speak for the majority? When it is convenient, they will use the argument that the silent majority are supporting them. How sure is the majority that they are representing the silent majority? Also how sure is the minority that they are representing the silent majority?

So you see, it's really a silly argument if leaders tell you they are representing the voice of the silent majority or the silent minority too!

Does the over 1 million youth in Putrajaya wearing free t-shirts in praise of one man representing the will of the majority of youths or are they just a minority lot?

Does the burger and petty traders represent the will of the majority in humiliating someone's religious and cultural sensitivity with regard to offering her a meat and to add insult beef burger?

Do those butt swaying ole soldiers represent the majority of ole folks and even their race in their actions?

Do those who go an anger t-shirt burning frenzy act after prayers represent the will of the majority?

So who really speaks for the majority? The elected politicians? Does silence means consent really?

When we use the rule of politics of majority wins, the means that the majority uses, like their mean ways to quell 'minority' voices will always be justified and justify the end. And how they want the end to stay, the status quo that is, will justify the meanest means they employ to ensure the end remains the same, huh?

Rightly said by 1Malaysia that as peace-loving people, Malaysians should defend the institution and system which was proven to have benefited national life, and not raising doubts, what more distrust of the people.

Yes indeed, we should defend institutions that uphold principles such as justice, equality, eradication of corruption, abuse of power, bigotry, insensitivity, intolerance, arrogance, liars, murderers, sex offenders and what have you. Sadly in BolehLand, there are not many institutions to be defended that will benefit national life, even if the government want to make the majority and minority believe they have created such institutions worth defending!

But then, when minority groups take up such causes, they are being told they don't represent the will of the majority. And worse trying to usurp a democratically elected majority by undemocratic means whatever they mean.

Hmm, we should defend institutions and system which have proved to have benefited national life. Which means the BN political party, the judiciary, the MACC, the security apparatus, the religious councils, even Perkasa, Perkid, the nasi kandar petty traders etc,who we presumed are the majority and speak and act for the silent majority we can supposed?

Those that should be quash are the minority in the likes of Bersih 3.0, Pakatan, even the Bar Council... and any blogger who do not post pro politically correct comments of BN and their leaders and polices, right?

Birthdays are happy days to remember often with good friends, good food and the silent wishe(s) and hope(s) of the birthday celebrant.

And if you invite a politician and allow a politician to speak on your happy birthday, you'd wonder who is birthday boy and the focus of attention and feeling shiok and happy instead eh? - YAHMEH!!!
