This is the difference between Pakatan Rakyat and UMNO. PR supporters pay to attend while UMNO needs to give free food to attract them to attend events organised by their leaders.
Although being the Prime Minister, Najib needs to offer free food and "goodies" to attract people to his functions.
Furthermore, participants would have to be ferried by bus, paid for their presence and free site-seeing at interesting spots to attract them and make his events or functions seen popularly supported by the people.. just look here.
BUT this does not happen with Pakatan Rakyat leaders..
Located at the car park at Sutera Mall, Scudai, Johore, 8500 people bought ticket to be seated at 850 tables that was sold by PKR Negeri Johor to be close with their Opposition Leader and Prime Minister-in-the-waiting and to hear what DS Anwar Ibrahim has in-stored for the future of our nation once he secures Putrajaya.
Without PAYMENT.. no transport provided to bring them here.. they want to attend and pay to hear... CONGRATS to PKR Johor!!
