Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today condemned the act of mooning by a youth on Aug 30 as ‘un-Malaysian’.
In a speech today, he said such acts do not reflect Malaysian values and should not be encouraged.
“Street demonstrations are not a Malaysian value we want to encourage.
“Much less is the act of dropping one’s pants in public. It is nothing to be proud of,” he said.
A youth had bared his buttocks to a photograph of Najib during the Janji Demokrasi rally on the eve of National Day.
Ten thousand people thronged the Dataran Merdeka area in Kuala Lumpur to demand, among others, clean and fair elections.
