Suara Keadilan staff called to identify PKR bus attackers
Police have summoned two journalists from Suara Keadilan to identify the perpetrators behind last Saturday's attack on the PKR campaign bus in Malacca.
They are journalist Aedil Asri and photographer Yuisriah Yusof.
According to a Suara Keadilan report, PKR organising secretary Radin Shamsulakmar Radin Shamsudin said police made the request to the bus entourage around 1.30pm yesterday.
"The identification parade will be held at 3pm at the Jasin district police headquarters," Radin Shamsulakmar is quoted as saying.
The duo have been travelling with the PKR entourage for the party's southern leg of its Jelajah Rakyat programme.
Also asked to participate in the identification process were party workers who were on the bus during the attack.
On Sept 3, a group of youthsblocked the path of the double-decker bus at Kampung Rim, Jasin, and splashed red paint on it.
The incident led to a tense situation where PKR supremo Anwar Ibrahim's bodyguard allegedly pointed his gun at the hecklers.
Police then moved in, disarmed the bodyguard and arrested him.
Exactly a week before the incident, PKR's bus was also splashed by red paint and its windscreen smashed (picture above) while on the campaign trail in Kota Baru, Kelantan.
