DAP's Kulasegaran in his Twitter messages claimed the Perak DAP chairman Ngeh Koo Ham and secretary Nga Kor Ming are sidelining him, the Indian community and continued corrupt practises.
PETALING JAYA: National DAP vice president M Kulasegaran has resorted to micro-blogging site, Twitter to vent his anger against Perak DAP chief Ngeh Koo Ham and state secretary Nga Kor Ming over allegations of him being sidelined, corrupt practices and the belittling of the Indian community.
The Twitter messages appears to indicate the worsening factional problems within Perak DAP.
“I joined DAP with clear conviction. Don’t test M. Kula.
“Keep your house in order. @ngehkooham @ngakorming. I am least worried about you and your antics.
“Some party leaders are so oblivious. Bro, Perak politics will explode if I start speaking. Matter of time only …..,” Kulasegaran who is also Ipoh Barat MP wrote on Twitter last night.
Kulasegaran leads one faction and the Nga – Ngeh cousins lead another faction. Ngeh Koo Ham is Beruas MP and Sitiawan state assemblyman whereas Nga Kor Ming is Taiping MP and Pantai Remis state assemblyman.
Both the factions are aligned to Lim Guan Eng.
In this series of Twitter messages, Kulasegaran also claimed to be sidelined in a March 8 anniversary ceramah session that was led by Ngeh and Nga in his constituency.
The ceramah session was held in conjuction with the historic win of the opposition alliance who took over five states and denied the ruling coalition its traditional two third majority during the 12th general election five years ago.
The ceramah session was also attended by DAP national legal bureau chairman, Gobind Singh Deo. Gobind is also Puchong MP and the son of national DAP chairman, Karpal Singh.
“People ask me if I am speaking in Ipoh today in my consitutency Ipoh Barat. What do I need to say? Factional!” Kula wrote in a message addressed to Gobind.
“I am not concerned. I always stood by principles. But have I out live my use fullness?
In conjunction with the March 8 anniversary he also pointed out at the corrupt practice within the DAP which he referred to as the “tailor gate”
“We made history five years ago today. Many have changed for the better but some some are involved in business like “tailor gate”. Can avoid?
The “tailor gate” controversy refers to the lounge suit contract in 2008. The lounge suits for local councillors contract was given to Ethan & Elton, a company owned by Nga’s wife, Wong Seow Ching. The controversy however first appeared after a BN aligned blogger wrote about it in Dec 2011.
The issue was brought to the DAP disciplinary committee and Nga was found innocent from charges of nepotism. He also filed a defamation suit against the blogger.
“We did well five years ago today. So will corruption be done away with or will we compromise it?” Kula wrote, directing the question to Ngeh and Nga.
In one message, Kulasegaran questioned whether the Nga-Ngeh faction had the support of the people since one of the two cousins were painting a negative picture on the Indian community.
“Yes they say he has community support. True? I don’t think any one will agree to corruptive practice. Yes his cousin runs down my community. They can run down my community and say they are bought over by money, mutton, alcohol. You want me to comment?”
Neither Ngeh nor Nga responded to Kula’s venting on Twitter.
