Sabahans especially the Suluk community, must strengthen unity to address the intrusion by terrorists holed up in Kampung Tanduo, Lahad Datu and Semporna.
Chief Minister Musa Aman who is also Sabah Security Committee chairperson said through stronger unity, the crisis sparked by the foreign terrorists could be overcome.
"The entire society must cooperate and remain loyal with the Barisan Nasional government and report new faces to security forces," he told reporters after a two-hour meeting with Suluk community leaders and associations in Batu Sapi and Libaran at the chief minister's official residence in Sandakan today.
Musa said the establishment of special security areas as announced by Prime Minister Najib Razak and five additional battalions will tighten security and restore peace in Sabah.

Meanwhile, Sabah United Suluk Association Sandakan branch chief Jamal Ali said the association which has over 300 registered members will not gang up with other parties to ensure peace in Sabah.
"I object against those out to disrupt the peace including Tian Chua who is unwelcomed in Sabah. This is not orchestrated by Umno," he added.
Suluk community grateful
Kampung Bahagia Suluk community leader Sharip Shafdan said villagers appreciated the commitment shown by Musa and the state government in bringing prosperity to Sabah.
"We the Tausug or Suluk community don't have any problems and will always support the Malaysian government. The situation in Kampung Bahagia is under control."
Kampung Bahagia village headman Sharip Hassim said the entire population will help maintain security to ensure that no outsider try to disturb peace in the area.
Sandakan Suluk Culture and Heritage Association president Hatta Yunus Sawabi said the Suluk community is grateful to Najib and Musa for accepting them as Sabahans.
"They (intruders) will not get anything, only condemnation from their children and descendants," he said after submitting a memorandum supporting government action against the intrusion in Sabah.
