"I am sorry, this confusion would not have happened if my officers sent out a letter to inform the property owners about what we wanted to do instead of the notices. It was my mistake and if it had been referred to me before the notices were sent out I would have stopped it," said Tengku Adnan.
He said because of the way the matter was managed the property owners were upset while the opposition had taken advantage of the situation.
"What we are doing is for the benefit of Kuala Lumpur people," he said at a press conference held at his office in Putrajaya today.
